At WesTEC, we are more than just a training centre, we are a Pathways Hub that connects Schools, Students, Industry, Training and Community. We provides Year 10, 11 and 12 students with opportunities to explore interests, develop skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications that contribute towards their Queensland Certificate of Education while still at school. Through partnerships with Registered Training Organisations, industry, schools and the community, students gain workplace experience and pathways into further study, apprenticeships, traineeships and employment.
Our training facility offers hands-on learning across industries, including automotive, construction, plumbing, electrotechnology, engineering, manufacturing, aviation, health, community services, beauty and more. We offer Certificate II through to Diploma courses in industry-standard environments, guided by experienced trainers.
In partnership with 8 schools—Woodcrest State College, Redbank Plains State High School, Forest Lake State High School, Springfield Central State High School, Bundamba State Secondary College, Bellbird Park State Secondary College, Ripley Valley State Secondary College and Bremer State High School—along with over 20 non-partner schools, we prepares students for the future workforce by connecting classroom learning with practical industry experience. Whether you're looking to gain a qualification or get a head start on your future, we provides the skills and opportunities to help you achieve your goals.
"At WesTEC, we connect Schools, Students, Industry, Training and Community to create meaningful pathways, valuable opportunities and successful futures."
